Is Stress Making You Fat ?

You don't  always eat to satisfy your hunger. Even stress can make you overeat, leading to weight gain

"Stress eating is a phenomenon when you start eating beyond your appetite due to being stressed out. The result is weight gain and those unsightly spare tyres around your waist. But with intelligent eating habits, you can live healthy and avoid stress- related eating disorder."

1. Learn to recognize your emotional eating triggers. when you feel the compulsion of digging into a cheese burger while at work, take brisk walk, and munch on some healthy nuts such as almonds.

2. Have a protein- rich breakfast. This way, you'll stay full and your cravings will be under control.

3. Eat low glycemic, whole food like nuts; whole grains, raw fruits and vegetables.

4. Avoid foods that are packaged, high on sugar, and/or fried.
